The Louisiana Arborist Association (LAA) is the non-profit state trade association whose purpose is to assist the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry in the advancement of its programs and policies aimed at improving the practice of arboriculture in Louisiana through training opportunities, continuing education, and public education.
Established in 1993, LAA is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has members located throughout the state of Louisiana. A new statewide expansion effort is now underway . We also have Associate Members and firms which provide services and equipment for our arborist industry.
The Association is actively involved in the licensure and re-licensing of Louisiana arborist to assure the citizens of Louisiana they are getting quality professional tree care. How to Hire an Arborist.
In furtherance of its mission, the LAA develops a wide range of tree care safety, information, training programs, tree care practice standards, and business management programs to assist arborist and support companies in the successful management of their businesses.
The association publishes brochures and magazines providing important technical and safety information to the profession and the latest industry news and activities to opinion leaders.
